Dear Members & Friends,
Thank you once again for putting your trust on me as President.
I would like to express my sincere thanks to the outgoing Executive Committee Members led by Roszel. They have been doing a great job leading the association during the challenging pandemic period.
International tourism reach 65% of pre-pandemic levels by end of this year and the tourism sector will continue to bounce back from the pandemic. An estimated 700 million tourists internationally between January and September 2022 more than double the number recorded for the same period in 2021. The future looks bright and it will open doors for our Les Clefs d’Or Concierges to do what we does best for our esteem guest. It also mean most luxury hotels will be looking to hire dedicated Concierges for their properties.
Members have to continue to be prepare and well equip with knowledge and professionalism to welcome back guests from all over the world to our city. We have to ensure guest have a curated and memorable experience while staying at the hotel as well as exploring the city.
This term, targets have been set for the new Executive Members to execute. I am confident that most of the targets will be met and those not met we will try our very best to come close to it. We will have to look for creative ways to generate revenue and also to get more Business Associates members to come and join our family.
I would also like our members to participate more in the events as well as invite. We will also have to find a solution should the numbers is still below par as it is embarrassing for the Association. Organizations look up to us and we must deliver to their expectation.
This year we will also have the Pan-Asian Congress which is hosted by our dear friends from Malaysia in Langkawi. I encourage members to participate and support the event. It was such a memorable experience when we played host in 2019.
Lastly, let us be united and focus on the tasks and challenging situation that might await us for the next 2 years. Always expect the unexpected.
Vive Les Clefs d’Or!
