How did your journey toward becoming a Les Clefs d’Or member begin?
I started my journey in hospitality as a bellman, not knowing then how deeply this path would shape my life. With every guest I assisted, I found a growing passion for creating meaningful experiences.
That passion for guest service led me to become a Concierge. Today, being part of the Les Clefs d’Or Concierge is more than just a professional milestone.
What is the most rewarding part of being a hotel concierge?
The opportunity to create memorable experiences for guests. Whether it's securing a hard to get dinner reservation, planning a surprise anniversary celebration, or helping guest navigate a new city with ease, as a Concierge, I gets to play a key role in making guest stay truly special and memorable.
There's also a sense of satisfaction in solving problems quickly and efficiently, especially when guests are stressed or in unfamiliar situations. Seeing their relief and appreciation can be incredibly fulfilling.
Do you have any insider secrets or hidden gems in the area that you love recommending to guests?
Tiong Bahru Estate, an estate with architectural, cultural and historic significance, Tiong Bahru was developed in the 1920s as Singapore's first public housing estate. It is now known for its unique blend of old-world charm and modern cafes.
What’s one must-visit place you feel no visitor should miss?
Gardens by the Bay. The Cloud Forest & Flower Dome that showcases different exhibitions monthly!. Both the Conservatories replicate the cool-dry climate of the Mediterranean and semi-arid sub-tropical regions and the cool-moist climate of the Tropical Montane region.
They house a diverse collection of plants that are not commonly seen in this part of the world, some of which are of high conservation value. Do not forget to catch the Garden Rhapsody light show held daily at two different times.
